Ichor is an asymmetric VR game where one player plays as a melee fighter in VR, and the other one plays as a flying drone on PC. Together, they have to defend the Ichor, the source of their life.
I had worked as a freelancer for the Ichor team. In this level design, I had to consider the shooting lines for both the player and their opponent, as well as the specific abilities of the second player. The second player can fly and transform into a turret. There is also a tower defense aspect involving the defense of Ichor.
At first, they wanted various map layouts to enable random map generation. The top map is where the player starts. They also wanted to create a specific map for the enemy spawn, and I didn't have to manage it.
After some time, they asked me to create an adventure map without the tower defense mechanics. Now, I have to place the enemy spawns, and they can be destroyed.
