Lost in Tide is an exploration and survival game with a stressful gameplay based on tides behavior in a flooded building.
Lost in Tide is an end-of-year project where I work as a freelance level designer.
To create the levels, I started by finding reference buildings in New Orleans. The first level is based on a classic building found in the city. The second is a mall named Canal Place, and the last is the US Custom House located near the mall.
With this game, I had to determine where to place the game's resources and provide the player with the ability to quickly access a second floor to avoid being trapped by the tide.
I also worked on the level during development to implement new gameplay elements.
